They’re doing very powerful work. @common_justice “Common Justice develops and advances solutions to violence that transform the lives of those harmed and foster racial equity without relying on incarceration. In New York City, we operate the first alternative-to-incarceration and victim-service program in the United States that focuses on violent felonies in the adult courts. Locally and nationally, we leverage the lessons from our direct service to transform the justice system through partnerships, advocacy, and elevating the experience and power of those most impacted. Rigorous and hopeful, we build practical strategies to hold people accountable for harm, break cycles of violence, and secure safety, healing, and justice for survivors and their communities.”

Also, @drdogmusic… what a ridiculously good band. We just loved their show at Bristol R&R. It’s sad that it’s their final tour but we’re grateful we got to see them bring the joy like they always do.

We start at 6 pm and we’ll have special guest Chuck Lichtenberger on keys, and then and then @sammyraemusic rocks after us. It’s free (what?!) and all ages (nice!) and the whole thing is in partnership with @callingallcrows, which is a badass organization that “channels the power of live music toward community change for women and girls.” How awesome is that?
